Yay, I finished my painting!!! I think my skills are improving and I am ready to submit work to publishers. We shall see :)Ever since I was little I imagined that while I was traveling anywhere my alter-ego in spirit traveled along with me, always on a mystical black horse. I still imagine this sometimes, as I never quite grew out of my childhood. So anyway that was the inspiration for this.

Everything is changing, everything is evolving. My life as an artist, my life as a mother & wife <3 The blog looks different now; simple but just what I need. I now have an Etsy store, a Guru subscription, a PayPal account, an updated website...yes I've been busy! And I have a new painting about 70% complete:I am very focused lately and am working to fulfill my goal of becoming a book illustrator

Detail:This is my first serious digital painting and I look at it as a learning experience. So much time was spent experimenting with technique that I thought I'd never finish. I am happy with the outcome, but I know I will have to improve considerably to be completely satisfied with my painting skills. But yay! Things look to be promising from here on out :D

I am feeling much better and will soon be giving birth to my little BOY, and of course I couldn't be happier about it. His name will be Ian Paul and I can't wait to meet him! I still need to apply for a city business license though and I'll do that soon.
